SUMMARY

I have over twenty-five years mechanical design experience in such fields as aerospace, space, defense, telecommunications, turbine engines, generators, marine & industrial. Using various CAD systems to generate solid parametric models, assemblies & detail drawings. Drawing types I have produced are cast, machined, instrumentation, weldment, forged, sheet metal, tubing, fixture, installation, assembly, electrical enclosure, tabulated, fits & limits, engine cross-sections, configuration, exploded & layout drawings. Utilizing ASME-14.5M, MIL-STD-100, ISO & DIN standards. I also have experience with transitioning companies that are new to CAD or are switching to parametric modeling based CAD from a 2D CAD system. Establishing company standards, procedures & policies regarding the use of the new CAD system & have developed company specific formats, templates, symbols & standard parts libraries.

*Part of a team that created the procedure of using electronic data files sent directly to the vendor combined with simplified drawings for a series of complex machined titanium interface fittings.

*Produced a complex octagonal shaped center structure machined fitting for the Hawkeye Project.

*Built models & assemblies to represent the process of sewing & bonding mesh panels for the surface reflector on the ACeS program. This involved the extensive use of family tables at the part, sub-assembly & assembly levels as well as reflecting this information onto the upper level drawings.

*Supplied drawings for modifications needed to utilize a personnel bridge required for the ACeS gore-seaming table.

*Designed, modeled & detailed drawings for a tool fixture used to align & set a release & capture mechanism.

*Created a surface file of a rubber K-seal to correct a misalignment between 2 major assemblies for the F119-PW-100 Fan/Compressor Component Center.

*Integrated & updated changes to the sidewall structure assemble for the F119-PW-100 Nozzle Component Center.

*Lead drafter responsible for 7 detailers working on the National AeroSpace Plane (NASP) proposal.

*Detailed drawings for the F100-PW-229 engine for the McDonald Douglas F-15 jet fighter.

*Loaned to the Customer Service & Support Tool Design Group to aid in the backlog of engineering changes for EDM cables & engine transportation cart, utilizing Unigraphics, ComputerVision & manual drafting.

*Utilizing information from the engineer & detailers generated the layouts & assemblies for the transition load plates, liners, closeouts & seals for the F119-PW-100 engine for the Lockheed Martin/Boeing F22 Advanced Tactical Fighter (ATF).

*Maintained & updated a Unigraphics Macro/Grip list on Interleaf so that users could find specific programs quickly& easily.
